PLT Grey Culotte Jumpsuit

When its too hot for jeans but just not hot enough for bare legs in shorts, culottes are perfect for an airy fairy outfit to keep you cool. I have honestly been looking for this jumpsuit all month, even though I was after the ribbed Zara version, as soon as I laid my eyes on this Pretty Little Thing grey all in one I knew it would do.
Grey Jumpsuit from Pretty Little Thing here / white backpack from Topshop but similar here

Culottes are always my go-to in summer

I wore this to work today with black havaianas and my studded zara bag. I love this jumpsuit because it is a good summer to autumn and even to winter transition peice, paired with trainers and a biker jacket you can turn this playful outfit into all round winner.

Sizing and Alternatives

After uming and aring over what size to get I ended up buying the size 6 as I knew the material would be stretchy and tight fitted and I didn't want the bottoms to be too tight (if i bought the size 4). I am very happy with the choice as it fits me perfectly around the back, bum and boob area. Pretty Little Thing stock this jumpsuit from sizes 4 to 16, and I would say it is very true to size!

The company also sell it in black! However, as most of my wardrobe is black I thought I would have a change and be adventurous in grey lol, so ricky... jokes. I know Zara also did the same style but ribbed, but as it went into sale it obviously sold out quickly! So if like me you wanted the Zara one but couldn't get your hands on it then deffo try the PLT one because it it honestly lovely and so comfy and figure hugging, it has been like wearing pyjamas all day long!

How I Edit My Instagram Photos

This is my first time writing a post like this so hopefully it goes well and most importantly makes sense! My photo editing for insta isn't really a long process, it all depends on the quality originally, but I do get a lot of questions on it so i thought I'd write a post about it! So here are the ins and outs of my process...

Camera, Lighting & Background

First things first, the camera... now I wish I could say I use a fancy professional camera but sadly I don't (maybe one day) but I actually use my phone! I use my iPhone 7 plus to take all of my photos for insta, and it does the job lol. As for lighting I try and take any photos in natural day light and most importantly with a white based background. This makes your photos look brighter when the background of the photo is plain, and makes the object (aka you) stand out more!

Apps & their orders

1. iPhone Camera
I tend to first have to go through 100s of photos to find one decent one good enough for Instagram. I then go onto iPhone camera roll photo settings - what a mouth full - and alter the orientation (I think thats the word) to make sure its straight, as you can see above in the first picture the mirror is wonky and in the second its straight. This is normally all I do on the camera settings, however I sometimes make the brightness of pictures higher in some duller pictures.

2. Color Pop
One app I sometimes use on photos with busy backgrounds is Color Pop, this app is my go too for outfit photos that you want to make stand out, or in photos I want to hide a colourful background in. Color Pop basically turns your photo black and white, so you can then re-add colour back to the parts of the photo you want to show. Click here to see an example from my insta.

3. Facetune
Facetune is my saviour in terms of brightening up my pictures. I always use the whitening tool on walls, backgrounds and basically anything white to turn a picture from dull to bright, its crazy how much this can change the picture! Be careful not to over do it though, as it can look too fake but if you do it subtly, then you have the power to change beige tinged walls to crisp white ones. In addition to this, on closer photos I sometimes use the smooth tool to smooth skin like on my legs or chest!

VSCO is one of my favourite apps, it can completely change your instagram into an aesthetic page, whether you us the same filter continuously like I do, or use a mix of complimenting filters as I've tried in the past! So yeah thats it really, if you haven't already clocked on, the vsco app is all about filters.

My personal favourite is the P5 filter, which I use at around +7 or +8 so the filter is not too strong and doesn't take away the effects of the photo. The P5 filter is my favourite for summer, especially palm tree and beach photos because it makes everything blue more vibrant and summery. It also makes you look more tanned, which I can't get enough of! The most questions I get about my Instagram editing is about the filter i use, so now the secret is out lol.

As for editing that normally is all I do, I sometimes use a few of instagrams editing bits and bobs but that is very rare!!

Last But Not Least

The last app I use before posting any photo onto instagram is a new one I've recently been using, called UNUM. This app is amazing for OCD instagram users as it allows you to upload many photos in advance onto a page that looks like your insta, to see whether your photo goes with your theme. So if you are a theme obsessed instagramer then get this app as it takes away the embarrassment of having to delete a picture as soon as you post it because it doesn't look right with your page. It basically gives you a preview of what your instagram is going to look like when you post your new picture.

The End

Ta da you're done!
I hope that made some sense and you can take some tips from my editing!

OOTD - pleated trousers

I don't know about anyone else but I am never ashamed to re-wear last years wardrobe. After scrolling through pintrest I found loads of summer outfit inspiration, most of which involving pleats. Last year pleats were really popular, especially ones similar to the culottes I'm wearing here! Topshop especially embraced the trend, with many colours and lengths, however, this year the culottes are being replaced by long line skirts, pleated ones at that, but still any pleats are good enough! As the sun has been out this week I thought it would be the perfect time to bring out the pleats once again.

Todays outfit I wore my pink wish pleats with adidas trainers, and a white super cropped tee that i recently got from Urban Outfitters, I love this top because of the neck it has, anything slightly high necked is a bit of me lol. But as I am on holiday next week I am definitely going to be taking them with me and wearing them in the evenings with a bralet! The only thing is, I wished i bought a size small as the top can sometimes rise a little too high and show the bottom of your bra, but hay ho just gotta embrace it lol, and get those not so abs out!!

Pleats are an easy way to embrace the summer months, they are light and simply feel like you're wearing nothing haha, I will deffo be grabbing these a lot during hot summer days. Especially as they make you feel so girly and fashionable, you'll deffo be standing out from the crowd in pleats this season.

Styling and Inspiration

TROUSERS - Topshop (similar here)
SHOES - Adidas

My inspiration came mostly from these two pictures, especially the white and grey tees with trainers, turning a really girly piece of clothing into a sport casual look. I love the blue on the right, but mostly the metallic skirt. Both are amazing summer street style outfits. My main love is deffo the logo tee shirt, but as I don't have a graphic one at the moment, I had to settle for the plain white tee shirt Im wearing above.

I hope you enjoyed this sweet but simple post today, keep tuned for my next few holiday based posts including tanning and outfits (ofc)!!

Mood Board 3 - INTERIOR

Two posts in 24 hours, wow... Is it just me or do you over think and over plan everything in your head when its night time? Because I always do. Whether it is what you are going to wear tomorrow, or about how you have to pack for holiday thats only a few weeks away, or even thinking about the hair oil you need to buy because you've run out! Its like night time was made for over-thinking. As i felt like my other post categories weren't seeing the love, compared to my fashion one, I thought I'd do a new mood board, for Interior, desk interior / office to be more precise, the reason for my over-thinking.

Uni is only a few months away, and as I've decided to stay at home and commute into London this year (for money reason, not that I didn't want to stay in halls). I am in need of desk or space to do work on, for my laptop and books and somewhere where I can feel inspired and relaxed enough to work, as at the moment my room is lacking this a lot. Pintrest is the saviour as per usual, as it is where I get most of my inspiration from. Black, white, rose gold and marble are my inspiration colours, along with faux fur, prints and green plants (mostly palm trees, but you can put one of those in your bedroom). I am really excited to decorate my room more, and to create this space to work and be creative here on my blog, I already have a few ideas which you will be seeing very soon, but this is just a tease of whats to come and whats inspired me.
