The Cat Eye - On Trend Sunglasses for Less

Whether it be Summer or the middle of Autumn sunglasses are still an important grab before you leave the house. Not only do they play an important role in keeping the sun out of your eyes (just in case you didn't already know) but they can also complete any outfit, whether they are being worn properly, on the top of your head, or even on your t-shirt! They are a must have!

Rather than buying the standard style glasses a.k.a aviators, sometimes you want something different! But finding on trend quirky sunglasses can come with a cost. And even if you go for the cheaper alternatives they either break easily or gain scratches after a few wears. But not for long...

aldo shoes .com

Aldo is a essentially a shoe shop, which only since recently I have discovered they also sell accessories, & really nice accessories at that! They sell jewellery, bags and sunglasses which are all well up-to-date on the fashion trends around at the time. The best thing is that they cost so little for what you get, and after speaking to friends who have previously bought sunglasses from there, they last years too! It can't get any better...

These Aldo shades called the 'Qilalla Black Women's Cat Eye' costing only £15 are the perfect every day sunglasses that can be worn with anything at any time. The black frames have a slightly blue tinted glass, with UV protection and a stylish 'cat eye' design which is all the range at the mo. The best part is because the outside design is a made of a thing black metal, it is a subtle way to ease yourself into the daring cat eye trend, for those of you who aren't as daring.

They have such a range of styles and colours, and most of them are around £15.00 with some designs costing a bit more. Compared to designers and even some high street retails like QUAY Australia, Aldo sell high quality sunglasses that are trendy, and it doesn't matter if you only wear them for a few months because the price tag is so low! An All Round Winner.

Sunday Wish List

Happy Sunday!
After being at work all day, I am finally on a few weeks break, before I start uni, and also before my holiday on Saturday WOO!! So I really want to start doing more posts on here, as well as maybe on Youtube, doing vlogs and what not? Especially as uni is so so soon, I am starting to shop a lot for clothes, and it would be a lot easier to do a haul rather than writing about it on here!

Anyway I thought I would do a short post today, based on My Autumn / Winter Wish List, both high street & designer, so lets begin...

One & Two

ONE - Like most girls, Zara is my favourite high street shop, especially now it is approaching autumn/winter, I am so excited to start shopping the new seasons, especially coats! This 'Biker Jacket' as Zara calls it, is the jacket Ive been looking for, for over a year, (literally) as I really wanted this last year, but by the time I wanted it, it had sold out, so this is deffo in my shopping basket as soon as I get paid lol! TWO - Gucci of course! I've always been a lover of little bags, and this Gucci 'Soho Leather Disco Bag' is literally a dream of mine. Perfect as a cross body and every day bag, I just really want it, thats all haha.

Three & Four

THREE - Bootiesss, as sad as it is, summer is nearly over and the rain will be here very soon, as its time to face the facts, and prepare yourself and your feet! These 'studded buckle flat ankle boots" from ASOS are extremely similar to ones that are all over the high street, and I really want to get my hands on a pair of the studded beauties. FOUR - hehehe Gucci again, the Gucci 'leather belt with the Double G Buckle' is literally all I need in my life, as atm I've been wearing a lot of belts, especially with high waist denim mom jeans, and it would just be so much better if i was wearing a Gucci belt, don't you agree?

Kendall Jenner Street Style

From airport outfits to day-to-day style, Kendall Jenner has always been my go too for style inspiration. Decpite my previous post about her and Kylies street style, after subscribing to Kendall's app and me watching back-to-back episodes of Keeping up with the Kardashians, my love of Kendall has well and turely returned. From mom jeans, to white tees, biker jackets and over sized sweaters, I can't get enough.

Looks for Less

Decpite most of Kendalls pieces being designer and very expensive, some of them are actually reasonably priced and can be found on the high street. And as for the more expensive bits, they can be easily copied with cheaper alternatives! From the latest photos of Kendall that I've found on Pintrest, the one bellow is by far my favourite, and is definitely my style. The casual tee, DENIM jeans (love a bit a denim, especially Mom jeans) and a pop of colour, the Orange!

Other Bits That Caught My Eye

These two pictures definitely caught my eye, as for the left, it has really inspired my upcoming airport outfit, as an oversized crewneck sweatshirt, looks effortless yet still stylish ( & comfy which is always a plus), as well as her pairing the silk/satin jogger trousers, which are all over the highstreet ATM.

And as for the right picture, I am loving the staple denim jacket, which is perfect for summer to autumn transitioning. Despite this picture being a little older, I am still loving the look, and it proves how the denim jacket never goes out of style!

How I Edit My Instagram Photos

This is my first time writing a post like this so hopefully it goes well and most importantly makes sense! My photo editing for insta isn't really a long process, it all depends on the quality originally, but I do get a lot of questions on it so i thought I'd write a post about it! So here are the ins and outs of my process...

Camera, Lighting & Background

First things first, the camera... now I wish I could say I use a fancy professional camera but sadly I don't (maybe one day) but I actually use my phone! I use my iPhone 7 plus to take all of my photos for insta, and it does the job lol. As for lighting I try and take any photos in natural day light and most importantly with a white based background. This makes your photos look brighter when the background of the photo is plain, and makes the object (aka you) stand out more!

Apps & their orders

1. iPhone Camera
I tend to first have to go through 100s of photos to find one decent one good enough for Instagram. I then go onto iPhone camera roll photo settings - what a mouth full - and alter the orientation (I think thats the word) to make sure its straight, as you can see above in the first picture the mirror is wonky and in the second its straight. This is normally all I do on the camera settings, however I sometimes make the brightness of pictures higher in some duller pictures.

2. Color Pop
One app I sometimes use on photos with busy backgrounds is Color Pop, this app is my go too for outfit photos that you want to make stand out, or in photos I want to hide a colourful background in. Color Pop basically turns your photo black and white, so you can then re-add colour back to the parts of the photo you want to show. Click here to see an example from my insta.

3. Facetune
Facetune is my saviour in terms of brightening up my pictures. I always use the whitening tool on walls, backgrounds and basically anything white to turn a picture from dull to bright, its crazy how much this can change the picture! Be careful not to over do it though, as it can look too fake but if you do it subtly, then you have the power to change beige tinged walls to crisp white ones. In addition to this, on closer photos I sometimes use the smooth tool to smooth skin like on my legs or chest!

VSCO is one of my favourite apps, it can completely change your instagram into an aesthetic page, whether you us the same filter continuously like I do, or use a mix of complimenting filters as I've tried in the past! So yeah thats it really, if you haven't already clocked on, the vsco app is all about filters.

My personal favourite is the P5 filter, which I use at around +7 or +8 so the filter is not too strong and doesn't take away the effects of the photo. The P5 filter is my favourite for summer, especially palm tree and beach photos because it makes everything blue more vibrant and summery. It also makes you look more tanned, which I can't get enough of! The most questions I get about my Instagram editing is about the filter i use, so now the secret is out lol.

As for editing that normally is all I do, I sometimes use a few of instagrams editing bits and bobs but that is very rare!!

Last But Not Least

The last app I use before posting any photo onto instagram is a new one I've recently been using, called UNUM. This app is amazing for OCD instagram users as it allows you to upload many photos in advance onto a page that looks like your insta, to see whether your photo goes with your theme. So if you are a theme obsessed instagramer then get this app as it takes away the embarrassment of having to delete a picture as soon as you post it because it doesn't look right with your page. It basically gives you a preview of what your instagram is going to look like when you post your new picture.

The End

Ta da you're done!
I hope that made some sense and you can take some tips from my editing!
